A fellow traveler in this ever-growing world With strong hands and kind spirit Season after season
From the first frost of springtime planting
Writing within her soul the gentle lyrics of laughter
Far more than a farmer She was a caretaker of HaShem’s fertile soil For from tender seeds grew her living Torah Words penned not on pages of paper
She looked each night to the stars for guidance
To once more share with us all The gift The wonder The miracle of the land upon which we walk How her spirit danced in the light Casting upon the mountains high the reflective shadow
With the sweet and healing psalm of your smile
